I WAS ON A PODCAST…AND DIDN’T PANIC!

Yesterday, Daniel Puzzo published the conversation we had a few weeks ago on Zoom. This was my very first time on a podcast, and for reasons that escape me I wasn’t the slightest bit nervous.

Sure, maybe I had a little tingle in my tummy beforehand, but I have IBD so I’m used to having a tingly tummy! And I think now that it may have been excitement more than nerves, because once we were chatting, I was chatting, even almost chatterboxing. Which was a massive surprise, because I do not consider myself a chatterbox at all. Although I guess it depends whom I’m chatting with, and Daniel definitely brought out my chattiest self.

I really enjoyed our conversation, time flew by, and now that I’ve done it once, I’m pretty sure I can do it again. Although maybe it was first time lucky? Maybe I should skip straight to third time’s the charm?

I hope you enjoy listening to Daniel and I chat. We were serious, silly, goofy, poopy, and I even taught him the pronunciations of some very useful French words, such as Bossert, dressage, and croissants. And although I was thrilled when he called me “mon chéri” at the end, I had to explain that I would be “ma chérie” because I’m a girl, and that he might be better off using “ma chère” because we’re not married or having an affair!! Same same-ish but quite different 😝.

Ooh, and the next chapter of Just Like A Movie on The Empress’ Substack drops later today, and I’m excited!
