OUR LADY OF THE BUS
And just like that a complete stranger
On a bus saves two ridiculous
Exhausted twenty-something-year-olds
From a night on the streets.
My escape car is a turquoise convertible with a great stereo? Want to hop in?
That acrid smell of armpit juice,
And morning breath is quite uncouth.
WHERE’S MY PASSPORT?
What did wish to learn?
What did he wish to hide?
And just like that a complete stranger
On a bus saves two ridiculous
Exhausted twenty-something-year-olds
From a night on the streets.
I think I’ll make another cup of tea
Yellow with elements of grey
